Yes, I’ve had my Mastercard cloned on the Amazon website so I always remove my card details after EVERY transaction. Then ( it would happen to me ! ) – the same month it happened on PAyPal account so now I don’t leave my card details there either. Paypal were obstructive in my claim. So much for secure websites! With it happening twice in one month, my card went over the limit , resulting in an extra charge! Barclaycard were quite helpful though, I have to admit.
Amazon themselves are good and generally have good customer care. They are let down however by their delivery company City Link. Expensive item should have been delivered yesterday, then delivery time moved to 10.30 am today, now no one seems to know where the parcel is, only that it hasn’t been despatched. Have been told it should be delivered tomorrow (3 days of waiting in) – but I won’t hold my breath.
Such a shame, but won’t use Amazon again for anything that involves City Link.
Bought a Metronome from Amazon.co.uk – £36 works fine BUT NO RECEIPT. All efforts to track down the supplier failed. Not too serious as an amateur but if I was a professional that’s £36 of legal Income Tax expenses down the drain! would not touch them with a bargepole for anything expensive – found 3 other suppliers, any problems sorted out with a phone call. Still use them for cheap CDs they seem to be able to manage that OK.

Been a loyal customer to Amazon for 5 years. During that period never had issues with the goods I received. However recently a £300 tv I bought failed after 13 months of use. Ok it’s just past the 12 month warranty but I honestly expected Amazon to be more accommodating than telling me to get lost (disguised) especially considering my loyalty. Appalled !! . Yes Amazon is good UNTIL you experience an issue that tests their true character with regards to their customer sevice. They have shown their true colours and sadly after 5 years NO MORE AMAZON.

very good suction on the vacum but the handle holder seems very flimsy and just hope it lasts
I ordered this product via amazon last month… Only to find out my debit card had been cloned! I hadnt used my card anywhere else… Would never ever use this site to purchase anything!

i have been dealing with amazon uk & us in the beginning, much better now because i dont have to worry about exchange rates,, well i cant fault amazon i have bought many various items & haven,t had 1 bad one or never had to return any item so for me there,s no equivalernt & never will be ,if i ever need to buy anything & i mean anything i go to amazon straight away ,, well done ,,my only critisism is their delivery firms they need to sort them out ,dont go for the cheapest it dont always pay when it arrives at the customer damaged or torn etc ,,otherwise from one very satisfied customer ,,, thanks
Awesome! bought a TV which Pixmania failed to deliver AND STILL have’nt refunded me my money.
TV arrived within 2 days and it’s as lovely as it’s supposed to be.
AMAZON RULE ONLINE RETAIL
I have been ordering goods from Amazon for several years and have NEVER had any problems with either the goods sent or the delivery (ie goods always arrived in a timely manner). I have never had reason to complain about anythings so cannot comment on customer service with regards to complaints or grievences. I always try Amazon first when considering a purchase and will always use them if the price difference is minimal as I know I can rely on them.

I have been using Amazon since they started sending to the UK for US DVD’s and Books and have been using them ever since (even when I was an employee of a UK competitor website ;-))
On the rare occasions that a problem has arisen Amazon have responded with a timely solution and even go out of their way to help with problems out of their direct control (e.g. Parcel Delivery or Third Party Sellers)
ordered a television at approx. 1530 on tuesday, website said delivery would be between 5 to 7 working days, actually arrived 1330 the next day via city-link, excellent service.
Ordered a TV on sunday night and it was delivered to my office free of charge (super saver) the next morning. Brilliant service. Don’t know who it was delivered by. Have had problems previously with HDNL.
Amazon are great but are let down by there delivery company HDNL waited 8 days from ordering and still no delivery.
There are loads of revues for HDNL non of them good why do Amazon insist in using companys that drag ther reputation down i will never order a large item that may be sent through this delivery company again.
Thanks saved me possible hassle as was about to place a large order with this company but will not accept poor delivery.
